Hollis dismounted easily, gently leading her horse back to her stable, gently stroking her neck as she removed the tack and moved to brush her down a little. She knew they had grooms but she liked working on her own horses... especially when she had time for Starlight....
She glanced up at a commotion out in the yard, taking one look at the horse someone seemed to be struggling with and setting the brush down, soothing Starlight before slowly approaching the spooked horse. "Steady boy... Steady..." She moved closer, gently holding her hand out, keeping herself steady and moving slowly, soon catching the reins and guiding the horse back to it's stable. She glanced the other woman over.
"You okay?" She asked softly, brushing her blonde hair from blue eyes and waiting, questioningly.

Elle Greenway was more than pissed at herself. As a stable hand she should be able to control most of the horses at the stable but Trojan, the large brown bay, always managed to get the better of her. Elle had more than her share of cuts from this horse, who just didn't seem to like anyone on his back. She bolted the stable door, leaving on his tack on for now. She turned to the blonde. "Yeah, yeah. I'm okay. Thank you, by the way." Elle faced her, her chocolate brown hair slightly messed, hanging over her shoulders. Her tight jodhpurs showed off her slim legs, and her tshirt hugged her damp body.

"I used to own the damnation." Hollis shrugged. "Least I could do is catch the maniac." She glanced the woman over, slowly taking in a few scars and healing marks, her eyes settling on the small cuts re-opened on her arm and shoulder. She stepped closer, moving to gently check them over.
"What exactly did you do to get given the creature?" She asked quietly, looking directly into Elle's eyes, her breath catching a little before she moved away to find a first aid kit, returning with some anti-septic wipes and plasters. She moved back toward the woman, slowly, keeping eye contact as she settled to clean and cover the marks. She remained silent for a while, smiling softly at Elle as she passed to watch the horse for a moment, then turn back to Elle.
"You want a hand getting your tack back?"

Elle sighed, turing to face the horse, who was pacing in his stall, kicking at the walls. "It's not mine. And I've got half a thought to just leave it there...but the McInnins will have me fired. So yeah, some help would be great."
She shot Hollis a small smile, before continuing. "He is their horse, and not one of them listened to me when I said that he was untrainable. So now it's my job to try and see what I can do with him."

"I'm sure you'll manage to control him eventually." Hollis smiled, moving toward the stable and waiting as the horse wheeled to stare her down. She kept eye-contact as she moved in, moving first to take the saddle, moving slowly and refusing to blink. The horse moved and she gave him a dark look. "Don't mess with me Mister." She warned, turning slightly to hand the saddle to Elle, moving in on the horse's head, refusing to back down as the horses head rose, waiting patiently for his head to come down before retrieving the reins and bridle. She turned to go, quick to shut the door.
"Don't let the guy smell fear..." She offered warmly. "I'm Hollis by the way, Hollis Mann."

"Elle Greenway." She replied as she slung the bridle over her shoulder, saddle resting on her hip. They walked down the ally, Elle entering the tack room and resting the saddle on its hold, bridle hanging next to it.
"You did well." Elle commented Hollis, "You have a horse here, I suppose?"

"Several actually." Hollis smiled, returning to her own stable for a few moments before settling the tack back into the right places. She paused and glanced at Elle. "I tend to ride Starlight." She paused again then smiled softly. "Maybe I should just give you a job with me... might save on the bruises."

"As good as that sounds..." Elle sighed. "I can't just leave. I'm Trojan's last chance. If I leave, they're going to get someone to ... break him. The easy way." Elle shivered at the thought of anyone beating a horse.

"No." Hollis said softly. "They even think they'll get away with that..." She shivered slightly. "Listen, I think I know someone who can help..." She turned to her personal locker, easily unlocking it and digging out her cell and paper with pen. She scribbled out a name and number. "Kimberly-Ann Hodges." She offered Elle the paper. "She's a whisperer."

"Is she good?" Elle doubted that even a horse whisperer could do anything for Trojan.

"One of the best." Hollis smiled, gently resting a hand on Elle's shoulder. "She's managed to tame Starlight."

Elle nodded, pocketing the paper. "I hope she can do it. Trojan just needs alot of work. I don't think he's really that bad."
