Kimberly-Ann Hodges didn't flinch as she entered the horses stable, keeping her eyes on him as she moved closer, quietly murmuring to him as she moved, stroking his neck and flank gently, calmly. She wore her brown hair tied back out of brown eyes, refusing to let the horse flinch or move away, still talking softly.
"Who did this to you boy? Hmm..." She murmured softly. She turned as the horse snorted and nudged her, looking directly at... someone. She kept her gaze level before returning her attention to the horse, noting how quickly it had tensed.
"It's not the horse needs healing." She murmured to herself.

"Excuse me?" Came Marg's sharp voice, and ignoring Trojan pinning back his ears, strode forward.
"What exactly do you think you are doing to my horse?"

"I'm doing what comes naturally... trying to understand why he's so rough when people try to ride him." Kimberly-Ann replied softly, gently steadying the horse beside her. She moved away and toward Marg, not flinching as she met angry eyes.
"It's not the horse that has a problem..."

"What are you implying?" Marg growled, not worried at this woman's pathetic attemp to stand up to her.

"I'm implying nothing." Kim replied softly, moving closer to Marg. "Although I do wonder if maybe it's not the owner who needs help."

Marg raised an eyebrow, holding the woman's gaze. "Oh, really?"

"Really." Kim agreed softly, movng to lift a hand, shifting closer to Marg, pausing as she rested a hand on her arm, steadily, her thumb stroking steady circles. "Your pretty tense."

Marg pulled away angrilly. "What do you care?" She was pissed that a stranger had seen right through her. It made her feel uncomfortable, thrown off.

"I care a lot." Kimberly replied softly, approaching Marg again, steadily. "Not everyone's out to hurt you.... I know I wouldn't want to."

Marg hesitated, but didn't back away. She wanted to trust this woman, but her rule was to trust no one, love no one. It stopped her from getting hurt.

Kim paused, gently reaching to stroke Marg's cheek tender and unflinching. "Who made you so hurt?" she asked softly, raising her other hand to gently thread her fingers through Marg's, gentle as she could be. "Let me in..." She murmured softly.

Kim sighed softly, gently tilting Marg's face back up, looking directly into her eyes. "How about names?" She suggested kindly. "I'm Kim, Kimberly-Ann."

"Marg." She managed, trying to hold Kim's gaze, shyly.

Kim smiled softly. "Beautiful name." She murmured, shifting a little closer, gently tugging Marg closer, stroking her cheek free of tears. "Now, want to tell me who made you so shy and scared?"
