With a small but firm movement Camara had Bailey walking forward, when they neared the fence she didn't stop her compainion, but tugged on the reins turning the horse right, again they didn't stop, but contiued on their new path. Camara turned the pony several times in a sloppy squarish, but more circlish shape and stopped more or less next to her Aunt.
"So how did I do?" she beamed.

"I think you are ready for a trot. What do you think?" Asked Jeanne, knowing the girl could do it easily enough.

Camara nodded vigoriously, she was just itching to get in to some real riding. After getting over her slight vertigo Camara felt right. For a very long time she ahd been looking for something, something to do, a hobby of sorts, something she could love and easily get obbsessed with.
She had tried music and painting, but found she had no artist flair, she then tried various team sports, but she hated working with a big group and found it somewhat dull to run around a feild and hit balls around and then she tried swimming, but disliked the clorine. The only thing she learnt from these experiences was what she was terrible at them and that she wanted to do something active.
Then she found horse riding and was instantly entranced by the movement of the rider and horse, some were so good they became one with their horse and rode as one being. The moment she saw that she longed for it. She wasn't quiet there yet, but she knew if she stuck at it, horse riding could become her life.

"Okay. Just give another kick, a little harder than the one you did before." Jeanne instructed. She could see Camara was willing to learn, and she was more than willing to teach.

"Okie dokie" she replied happily, tapping a little harder, Bailey began to walk "Eh I don't think it's working" she tapped even harder, "ah wait here we go" they began to move at a quicker pace. Cam was shocked to find trotting to be very......painful. She pulled him to a stop "you could have warned me about that" she tried to look upset with her Aunt, but failed.

Jeanne laughed. "You'll get the hang of it with a bit of practice. It's just up, down, up, down." She demonstrated, moving so she was beside Camara. "One more time, and then we can go in?"

Camara's eyes watched the instructor as she bobbed up and down, then encouraged Bailey to trot and tried to copy her movements. She went all the way around the pen before returning to Jeanne. "It still really hurts" she moaned "Am I doing something wrong?"

Jeanne cocked her head to one side, thinking for a moment. "Maybe. Try keeping your toes pointed up while you trot, and try not to drop back into the saddle, but lower yourself gently. Remember, you are on his back, and it hurts if you slam down too hard." Jeanne coached, giving a slight smile at herself.

Again Camara nodded and set off around the ring, this time lowering her self into the saddle with care. "I think that helped!" she cried enthusiasitcaly as she returned, "Can I go around some more and get some practice?"

Jeanne gave a chuckle. "Sure. Go ahead."
She could feel Stardust getting restless beneath her. She knew that he could tell that she was not one of the D-grade students coming for a lesson, and he wanted to do something fun. She smiled, loosening the reins slightly, letting him lope forward slowly, streaching his musles as she watched Cam.

Cam contiued around several times before once again returning to her Aunt's side, her clothes wet with sweat and covered in dust. "I gets easier everytime! This is so much fun! Thank-you Auntie Jeanne" she gushed. After she caught her breath a question rose in her mind, "Auntie where is Amy?" She asked with slight concern.

Jeanne pulled Stardust back to a walk, so that she could better talk to Cam. "She went inside to get a drink. She's probably talking to one of the other riders. There are lots of cute boys who ride here." She shot Cam a wink, followed by a grin.

Cam couldn't help but laugh at the suggestion of Amy flirting with boys. Amy was to shy to say more then a few words to anyone, it was weeks before they ahd anything really resembling a proper conversation. "Should I go check if she's alright, she looked a bit frazzled when she left?"

"Sure. We can both go in. Just walk the horses once around the area first, so they cool down. Then we can go find Amy." Jeanne said, directing Stardust in a large circlem next to Cam.

Cam nodded in agreement and followed her Aunt in leading her horse. Once the horses were suffiently cooled, Cam patted Bailey's sweat streaked neck with affection, "thanks boy, I had fun" she whispered to the him.
As Cam walked out the training yard she realised how tired she was. She hurt every where at once, but at the same time she felt comfortable, as though this pain was a part of her, the experience was a part of her. Cam suddenly realsied that this was what she wanted to do, this was going to be her passion in life, that she would never be at peace unless she was with a horse. This new found understanding swept away all the restlessness she felt and added a certain solidity to her life.
Even with the pain through her body she couldn't help but have a skip in her step as she went to find her friend.
((randomly felt like being deep))
